A menu-bar screenshot beautifier and screen recorder. Grab a region, and it lands in an editor with a background already applied — style it, annotate it, ⌘C, done. Or record your screen and export an MP4 that doesn't look like a screen recording.

Screenshots

• ⇧⌘B and drag. The screen freezes and a region selector appears. Eight handles, arrow-key nudging, a magnifier and a live W×H badge, so you land the selection exactly.
• Styled on capture. Background (auto, colour, gradient or image), padding, inset, corner radius, shadow, and aspect ratio — Auto, 4:3, 3:2, 1:1 or 16:9.
• Annotate. Arrow, rectangle, oval, line, highlight, counter, text, pixelate, blur and redact, with undo and redo.
• ⌘C is the primary action. Copy to the clipboard, save to a file, or Share.
• Displays and windows too. Whole screens or a specific window from the menu bar, each with its own rebindable hotkey, plus a capture timer, a repeat-last-area shortcut, and a shelf of recent captures.
• Presets. Save any combination of background, aspect, padding, inset, radius and shadow as a named preset. Star one and every new capture starts there.

Recording

• ⇧⌘R picks a display, window or region; press it again to stop.
• Separate tracks. System audio and the microphone are recorded independently, not mixed.
• Zooms from your clicks. Cursor movement and clicks are captured as editable telemetry rather than baked into the pixels, so the editor can suggest Screen Studio-style zooms — and you can move them afterwards.
• A real editor. Multi-clip import, split, ripple delete, speed changes, and the same framing and backgrounds as screenshots. Projects persist and reopen from the menu bar.
• Export. MP4 at 1080p, 4K, vertical, square or 720p, at 30 or 60 fps — or an animated GIF for chat.

Quality

Every capture is taken at the display's native Retina resolution through ScreenCaptureKit, and exports are rasterized at that same scale. What you see in the editor is what lands on the clipboard, pixel for pixel. PNG is lossless by default.

Privacy

Your images and recordings never leave the Mac. Framed captures locally, styles and exports locally, and writes to your clipboard or a folder you pick.

It needs Screen Recording access, which is unavoidable for both screenshots and recordings. Microphone access is optional, and only if you record a mic track. Accessibility access is optional, used only to locate clicks during a recording so the editor can suggest zooms.
